Our homeware is picked by our own buyer, with an eye for things that are lovely to look at and good to live with. Whether you’re refreshing the living room, laying the table for friends or making the spare room feel welcoming, you’ll find pieces with plenty of character.
Light a candle from Pintail Candles or True North Chandlers, pile the sofa with cushions and throws, or bring colour to the table with striped mugs, platters and jugs. Finish a room with vases, wall art, plant pots and photo frames, or shop by room if you already know where it’s going.

What homeware does Car and Kitchen sell?
Car and Kitchen is an independent lifestyle store in Settle, in the Yorkshire Dales, and every piece of our homeware is chosen by our own buyer. You’ll find vases, candles and home fragrance, cushions and throws, tableware, home decor and our Christmas Home range. Cookware and kitchen tools have their own Kitchen department.
Which homeware brands do you stock?
We stock Gisela Graham, Rex London, Sass & Belle, Talking Tables, Ian Snow, Opjet Paris, Pintail Candles and True North Chandlers, alongside smaller independent makers. Stock changes through the year, so if you’re after something specific, call the shop on 01729 823638 and we’ll check.
Can you help me choose a homeware gift?
You can shop by who it’s for or by occasion, from housewarmings to birthdays. You can also let them choose with a Car and Kitchen gift card, available in £10, £20, £30, £50 and £100 values and spendable online or in our Settle shop.
How much is delivery, and when will it arrive?
UK delivery is free on orders over £30 and £5 below that. Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday usually go out the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24, so most arrive the next working day. Large or heavy pieces (around 3kg and over) may need a delivery quote, and we’ll be in touch before sending. We also ship to Europe and further afield.
Can I return homeware?
Yes, within 30 days of it arriving, as long as it’s unused and in its original packaging. Let us know at web@carandkitchen.co.uk, then post it back to the shop with the returns form from your invoice. Return postage is yours to pay unless the item is faulty, and sale items can only be returned if faulty. Read our full returns policy.
Can I collect my order from the shop?
Yes. Choose Click + Collect at checkout and we’ll let you know when your order is ready at our shop on Market Place, Settle, BD24 9EF. If you need it by a certain time, leave a note with your order. There’s plenty more homeware in the shop than online, so it’s worth a browse while you’re there.
Do I earn loyalty points on homeware?
Yes. Log in to your account and you’ll earn one point for every pound you spend, online or in the shop. 150 points gets you a £5 voucher, 250 gets you £10 and 500 gets you £25. Points last a year.
Do you sell Christmas decorations?
Yes. Our Christmas range is in, including tree decorations and festive home pieces from Gisela Graham. Shop Christmas Decorations for the tree, or Christmas Home for festive touches around the house, from tableware to candles.
